The collective UNIMONDO indicates an unfortunate event of bad information that has played a key role the two newspapers "The Information" and "Il Resto del Carlino" and the website of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Following the disclosure by Prof. Sergio D'Addato (the organizer of the first meeting on campus in the Law 133) of mail information about the motion passed by the Assembly of October 28, some students have complained, accusing the teacher of abuse of power, political propaganda and unlawful use of student data, and these bad feelings found vent in two articles published first on "The Information " and "Il Resto del Carlino " and then press the Website of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (attached).
We ask you to read carefully: the articles relate to a complaint on behalf of a famous student association, the address of Prof. D'Addato and its contents. There is talk of mail politicized professors and agitators, people misuse the channel of communications for the University. The collective
UNIMONDO considers necessary to clarify some of these issues publicly:
http://www.cesia.unimore.it/REG/regolamentoreteateneo.html .
UNIMONDO believes that this case represents an example of the campaign to discredit that, daily, national TV and newspapers lead against the protest movements that criticize the current state of the University so as to funding cuts approved by the government. With this move, low-quality journalism is not only offensive, in a despicable and cowardly Prof. D'Addato, but it diverts attention from the value of the meetings that we have been and that the motion is derived.
In this difficult time we express our full solidarity with the professor and to acknowledge once again the merit of being the first to raise the issue on campus. The Collective

UNIMONDO considers necessary to clarify some of these issues publicly:
- the spread of e-mail information about events taking place in the University, made through the listings of the University, does not imply any violation of university regulations and is fully legitimate (we invite the student association who attacked the professor to consult the University Regulations, available at the following link):
http://www.cesia.unimore.it/REG/regolamentoreteateneo.html .
- with his mail the professor did not do any kind of propaganda, but simply informed the students of an event that involved the university in person and for which it should be the first representatives (to realize just what read the text of the mail and motion posted by D'Addato)
- in this matter the only "abuse of power" should be awarded to the newspaper "Information" which has published, with no communication to, personal data of Prof. D'Addato, and a photo, downloaded from the website of the University without permission.
